Grayson Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician. We are a family-owned private practice. We are open Monday through Saturday and would prefer candidates that are available for Saturday shifts. Two years' experience working in a veterinary hospital is preferred. Newly licensed veterinary technician is welcome, we are happy to support training and professional development.
Our LVTs are an integral part of our hospital team. We provide a wide range of services including dentistry, routine surgery, radiology, emergency care, wellness and vaccination exams, boarding, grooming, and more. The ideal LVT would have experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. Ability to educate and communicate with team members as well as clients is crucial for outstanding patient care. Duties/Responsibilities
Assist Veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures
Safely handle animals using proper restraint techniques for examinations or procedures
Conduct laboratory tests such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures
Take and develop X-ray images, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under Veterinary supervision while monitoring animal responses
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Our Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician and a Licensed Veterinary Technician with a
VTS in Anesthesiology or Surgery. This individual must have demonstrated the ability to build
positive, professional relationships with clients and staff members. Experience in anesthesia is a
required skill. Emergency and critical care experience is a plus. Use of proper medical terminology
and the ability to perform tasks accurately and timely with minimal direction are needed for this
position.
In addition, we are seeking a RVT with CCRP or CCRT credentials, Physical Therapist or Physical
Therapy Assistant with animal rehabilitation interest and training. Acupuncture training/certification
is a plus. Applicants must be knowledgeable of rehabilitation practices and be able to evaluate,
recommend and implement programs for companion pets to meet rehabilitation and fitness goals.
Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must.
