The program she has built at North Elementary has been recognized as an Exemplary Elementary School program! It is with great pleasure that we announce Carolina Macias as our new Assistant Principal at North Elementary! For the past four years, Mrs. Macias has been a part of building the culture that defines who we are today. She is a relational and collaborative leader with a student-centered mindset. I am confident that her leadership, experience, and dedication will continue to strengthen our school and support the success of our students, staff, and families. I am excited to partner with her in this new role as we continue to build upon the strong foundation of our Navigator family. Dear Navigator Family,

I am excited and humbled to accept the position of Assistant Principal at North Elementary!

I am incredibly grateful for the experiences, relationships, and strong sense of community that North has provided over the years. Growing and learning alongside our Navigators has been one of the greatest highlights of my career, and I am excited to continue this journey with all of you.

My goal is to continue empowering our students to reach their full potential, celebrate their successes, and provide meaningful learning experiences that inspire a lifelong love of learning. I look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff as we continue to make North a place where every child feels valued, supported, and challenged to succeed.

Library news--Summer library days and introducing the Library of Things!
Mark your calendars for North's summer library days. I love to welcome our Navigators in to the library over the long break to check out new books, play games, and visit with friends. **Note--this is not a drop off visit. Children must be supervised by an adult during summer library times.

Introducing the Library of Things!
This idea has been in the works for a while, thanks to a student in our library helpers club (Way to go, Gavin!). We are ready to roll our our first kits. These are items like games, puzzles, STEM activities, and craft kits that can be borrowed just like books. This collection will be growing quickly, so keep an eye on the available items. Field Day is this Friday, May 15. We are looking forward to a fun day. Because of the large crowds, we encourage everyone to RSVP (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScNkW3IJsWuMc-kRpfwAtOSUBaz7ITa89mY7pkm-CCLTuJr2Q/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=100910310490582660632). In addition, we will have different check-out procedures for families who wish to take their child home after field day. The two videos below outline those procedures based on your child's grade level. Please remember that every visitor MUST have a PHOTO ID to be able to check-in for the day and to check-out their child early.
