We are excited to introduce the newest Charger! Please welcome to BASIS Leander, Charles Davis, teaching 5th Grade Physical Science.

As a trained scientist and professional IB teacher, his education includes research at Texas A&M, an engineering university, and the University of Texas Medical School for medicine and biosciences. Mr. Davis is a professional teacher of science, math and English with certifications for IB and ESL specialties. Mr. Davis believes in student-led and student-centered, hands-on teaching through rigorous and challenging guidance.

Mrs. Chang looks forward to helping students explore the Mandarin language and Chinese culture in a fun, engaging, and supportive classroom environment. She believes learning a new language helps students build confidence, curiosity, and connections to the world around them.

Help us welcome the newest Charger! ⭐ Please welcome to BASIS Leander's first Head of Operations, Mr. Juan Gonzalez.

Mr. Gonzalez brings nearly three decades of experience in educational leadership, campus operations, instructional supervision, and STEM-focused program development across Texas public schools and educational organizations.

Throughout his career, he has served in leadership roles including Principal, Assistant Principal, Campus Testing Coordinator, Instructional Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Program Director.

He has led initiatives focused on operational excellence, student achievement, strategic planning, school safety, student support systems, and organizational growth in both rural and urban educational environments.

Mr. Gonzalez is excited to begin serving the BASIS Leander community. Go Chargers!

Valued at $5,000, this scholarship is awarded to graduating BASIS Charter Schools Seniors who display academic excellence in the development and ex*****on of their Senior Projects.
