Tot Spot

So far here are the results from our soil week. The kids did great with the little greenhouses, and our seeds have sprouted! The peas and beans are close to being planted!!

Today in STEM with Miss Emily, the kids learned about friction! They moved around beads in paint in order to make trails that showed where the beads made friction with the paper!

Today the Toddler group was able to explore again with the sensory table, dance with balloons, work on fine motor with feeding worms to the bird, and counting and colors with the little animals.

In Centers today the kids got to continue exploring with the sensory table, work on some creative art with chalk, and then work on counting and number recognition of 1-10 with Miss Sam.

Day 2 of Earth week in H.O.L.
Today we learned that the big land masses are called Continents. We explored the 7 continents and learned about the different animals on each. We then played a game guessing which food they ate, and then tried to figure out which continent our different animals came from.

Today in Classroom we went fishing and talked on our phones.
We worked on letter recognition by Miss Monika calling out a letter to fish for. Then once they caught the letter we practiced the sounds of each letter on the phones.

In STEM for E week we’re learning about engineering! Today we talked about what engineers do, and then we got to work as engineers! We used different materials to design and build structures such as buildings, bridges, planes, cars, and anything else the kids could come up with!

Day 1 of E week for H.O.L.
We are learning about our planet Earth this week.
Today we learned about our 5 oceans and what animals live in them. Then we were able to build our own Ocean.
