We wanted to give a shoutout to one of our amazing partners, Freddy's!

Lincoln Freddy's has supported our events by providing free kids meal coupons at our 'Active Family Events', including Hike Night in April, and Paddle Night this June. Rumor has it there will be more coupons at another event later this summer! You'll have to come to find out.

Paddle Night 2026 🚣🏿‍♂️

We had a blast with the Lincoln West Optimist Club volunteers and over 200 people that joined us at Branched Oak this week. We got time on the water, played water and outdoor games, had hotdogs & s'mores, and fun of course!

BGO received funding this year from Nebraska Game and Parks Watchable Wildlife Program! These funds allowed us to purchase and stock 30 wildlife gear bags for us to use in our programming and events. The tools include Vortex binoculars, reusable scavenger hunts, bird guides, survival bandana's and more.

Thank you NGPC and Spring Creek Prairie for your contributions! The kids have loved these materials and we can't wait to keep putting them to use.

The next stop for these bags will be Chadron, NE to observe wildlife at our 4H weeklong summer camp!

We are stoked to share these new and exciting designs created by our partners with AAF and UNL-Lincoln.

Soon, you will see more streamlined and consistent branding from all of our posts and flyers. We hope you love it!

They have whipped up some awesome things for us, including new colors, textures, fonts, and yes, a little change in our logo! Can you figure out what our new artwork looks like?

For our second year being a part of the Give to Lincoln campaign, we surpassed our numbers from last year, receiving over $7,000 in donations from more than 50 donors! We also were lucky enough to have a booth at the Tower Square Festival.
