Our 3rd - 5th graders set BIG goals for state testing this year and worked extremely hard to achieve them! They bypassed their goals and because of this the top 2 students with the most growth in Math and Reading in each grade got to pie Mrs. Bushaw and Mrs. Salomons (and others) in the face! We also drew a students name from each class that had growth and they got the same opportunity! Kindergarten - 2nd grade did not get to pie anyone, however they did get to join in for the excitement! Nice job Comets! π«ππ«

Ms. Upchurch's 4th grade class has been working on a project this week where they chose a topic that interested them and then got to βteach the teacherβ and the rest of the class. They came up with three main questions, researched their topic using books and websites, and then created a poster and slideshow presentation to teach others about what they learned. To wrap up the project, they did a gallery walk and took notes on new things they learned from their classmates.
