Southwest FBLA & DECA were well represented this past week in Boston for Junior Achievement's Future Bound Conference! Xavier Sorto, Alex Shaeffer, Cooper Richter, and Mylee Kammin traveled to Boston University to compete in the Stock Market Challenge event at this year's conference. This is the first time LSW students have attended this event in person.
While the end results were not what we hoped for, the team still did a really good job finishing 7th in the nation after making a late push in the last 20 simulation days to finally break into the Top 10 after spending most of the competition in the mid to lower teens.
Congrats Xavier, Alex, Cooper, and Mylee!!

Today was the last day of school for LPS students. Two weeks ago, our chapter wrapped up our school year with our Annual FBLA Fiesta!! We are sad to see our seniors go, but excited to see the momentum we have built this year continue into the 2026-2027 school year! Have A Great Summer Hawks!!

Another State Leadership Conference in the books!
Last week we travelled out to Kearney for the 2026 State Leadership Conference and it was another success-filled conference! We had three students auto-qualify for the National Leadership Conference by placing in the Top 3 of their respective events. Then throughout the course of this week after SLC, we had four more students who became eligible (students are only allowed to compete in one event at NLC so when a student places in the top three in multiple they must choose, then Nebraska FBLA will move down the list until we fill our three qualifying spots for each event)!! The full list of accomplishments are below.
We will be sending EIGHT students to compete at this year's NLC in San Antonio, TX! If you did the math from above you will see we have seven students traveling to compete... our eighth student traveling to San Antonio is HARNOOR SIDHU who became just the third student in our chapter's history to be elected to the Nebraska FBLA State Officer team! She put together a wonderful campaign and will serve as the 2026-2027 Nebraska FBLA State Secretary!!
Here is our list of accomplishments from this year's competition. Students traveling to NLC are marked with an **. Also note that HM stands for Honorable Mention and means they were in the Top 4% of their event, just not in the Top 8 to get on stage:

We are only TWO WEEKS away from this year's SLC! Which means it's time for those final touches on presentation and role play events. We are so thankful to our AMAZING alumni who are able to make it back for our Tuesday Study Sessions (throughout the year, and especially during these final weeks).
Thank you for helping to support the chapter you helped us build! ππ©Άππ©Άπ

Thank you to Stephen Hawke at Hudl for giving our chapter a tour of your headquarters down in the Haymarket last week. We appreciated learning about everything Hudl does, how it has grown, and the workplace culture you have. The views from the top floor were pretty sweet as well.
