Pershing Elementary School PTO

Be sure you join the Summer Reading Challenge at Lincoln City Libraries. If you're not familiar, this is a completely free, all-ages challenge to encourage reading over the summer months! All participants need to do is register, read, and visit the library. Just for signing up, each participant gets a free Saltdogs ticket (to any game of their choice) and a free entry into any City of Lincoln Pool. Completion prizes for kids include a free Raising Canes kid's meal, free ice cream from (402) Creamery, free bowling (and shoe rental) + more! Sign up for the challenge starts May 22nd.

🚨 Attention Color Run Participants 🚨

Most runner packets will be sent home with students today and tomorrow. If you do not receive yours, do not worry!! The remaining runner packets can be picked up on Saturday morning between 9:30 and 10:00.

Please Note: Runner packets include individual color powder bags for each runner. Please save these until the end of the event. Once all runners have completed the course, we will gather for one last color blast, where participants will use their individual color powder packets. 

We will begin the color run promptly at 10 AM. Runners will leave the starting line in shifts, to allow runners extra time for activities along the running path this year. This is not a race! Please be patient as we navigate this new format. We hope this will make the color run even more enjoyable for you and your family! 

Parents and older siblings who are not participating in the color run are welcome to volunteer along the path. If you would like to volunteer, please arrive around 9:30 AM and check in a the registration table.

The starting line area can be quite congested. If you are not a color run participant or volunteer, please spread out inside the walking path to watch and cheer for the runners. You are welcome to bring chairs.

💜We need volunteers for our color run!💜

Please send us a message if you’d like to help set up for the event, throw color powder, hold a sign, give directions for obstacles, help open individual color packets, clean up, etc. We have plenty of jobs, large and small.
