After developing and piloting a new academic club, rising senior Gavin Brunelli is already seeing his hard work pay off.

In its second year, CBA’s Technology Students Association (TSA) saw major success, including Brunelli and teammate Aneel Pitchumoni ‘28 qualifying for the National TSA Conference in Washington, D.C.

“It’s research, it’s engineering, and ultimately, it’s science,” Brunelli says when describing TSA. “For me, that was researching Mars dirt and the plants you can grow inside of it.”

Brunelli and Pitchumoni will head to D.C. on June 20 for the National TSA Conference. Over the course of four days, they will participate in debates revolving around the ethicality and morality of artificial intelligence use.

Kicking off summer with a round of golf ⛳️☀️

Our annual Father-Son Golf Outing was another great success on Monday, with nearly 300 dads, sons, grandfathers and friends playing at Battleground Country Club.

A shoutout to the CBA Fathers’ Club for always hosting such a fun event!

The Class of 2030 was back on campus for the Parent & Student Orientation last week!

These newest Colts got to know one another through ice breakers and some friendly trivia. And of course, we wrapped up the night with some ice cream.

We look forward to seeing the Class of 2030 throughout the summer.

This week, CBA welcomed five representatives from various colleges and universities to campus for our newly established “Reverse” College Admission Advisory Board.

During their visit, they met with administrators, toured our campus, and learned more about CBA’s admissions process. Their perspectives will not only help our students succeed at CBA but in college and beyond.

We are grateful for their insight and partnership as we continue preparing young men for success beyond CBA.

Senior Will Sakoutis never thought he would eventually earn one of CBA’s most prestigious and meaningful awards in the final month of high school.

“My parents always said that to do exceptional things, you have to put yourself in exceptional situations,” Sakoutis says. “And for me, I think CBA was that exceptional environment that I needed to really put myself at the next level.”

At the Lasalle Academic Awards, Sakoutis was presented with the Dr. William Zapcic, AFSC Award, which is given to the senior who best exemplifies the spirit of CBA on the criteria of faith, service and community.

The surprise served as a culmination of four years of hard work and dedication to bettering himself and others, ahead of his next challenge at Columbia University in the fall.

The Holmdel-native took the CBA experience in stride, which included being a four-year wrestler, member of multiple clubs, and of course, Student Council President.

Saving the endless smiles from the Class of 2026 😁

While we continue to congratulate these young men on completing their Academy journey, seniors should check their emails for the graduation photo galleries. All photos are available for download - both candids and diploma shots - to share with family and friends.

A special thanks to Mrs. Vicki Meehan, Jack McGee '27, and local photographer Mark Sullivan for going above and beyond to shoot these photos. Of course, a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Larry Levanti for not only lending all of his professional equipment in his absence, but for always capturing the big moments throughout these seniors' four years at CBA.

The 6th and 7th grade Information Night was a success!

Prospective families had the opportunity to tour the school, explore our 157- acre campus, and hear from students and administrators about the Academy.

We look forward to welcoming them back to campus this fall!

Last week, the CBA Modern Band and House Band traveled to the Cali School of Music at Montclair State University to perform in the NJ Emerging Ensemble Festival hosted by Music Will.

The all-day event showcased K–12 music ensembles from across New Jersey, featuring performances of rock, pop, and world music.
