⚠️⚠️We are in our final stages of this term ending but we have a few things to make sure are handled. Please check out this letter:

Dear Families, Administrators and Teachers:
Bell Elementary PTA is finalizing our participation in the National PTA School of Excellence program to grow our family-school partnerships and enrich the educational experience and overall well-being of all students in our community.

As part of the process, National PTA requests feedback from families, administrators and teachers at two points in the school year—the beginning and the end. We have used your responses from the first survey to implement an action plan for continuous school improvement. We started implementing some of these changes in the Spring and will continue to adjust our action plan into the next school year. Here's the plan:

🌟Identify Barriers & Family Needs:
Survey families to pinpoint exact participation barriers. Gather data on who needs transportation assistance, childcare during events, or specific cultural programming to feel welcome.
🌟Map Community Assets:
Brainstorm and list potential local partners. Look for local businesses (for financial/in-kind donations), non-profits (for childcare or student well-being resources), and cultural groups (to co-host inclusive school events).
🌟Establish Strategic Partnerships:
Reach out to the prioritized organizations with clear, mutually beneficial proposals. Secure commitments that directly solve the barriers from Step 1 (e.g., partnering with a youth organization to provide free childcare during PTA meetings).
🌟Launch Co-Designed Programs:
Execute joint initiatives, such as community-sponsored cultural nights, volunteer tutoring networks, or student well-being programs funded or staffed by external partners.
🌟Evaluate & Measure Impact:
Track family attendance data to see if engagement is more diverse and representative. Review the stability of financial and in-kind resources to plan for the next school year.

Now it is time for our second survey! We are proud of what we have accomplished so far and kindly ask for your feedback once again. Your responses will not only help us show our improvements but will also provide us with more information as we continue to build upon our efforts to enhance family-school partnerships in the future.

Denton ISD Child Nutrition will be serving free breakfast and lunch for kids 18 and under at select campuses around the district.

No sign up is needed. Just bring your student by any participating campus to eat with us and enjoy a healthy meal this summer.
