One of the incredible grants this year awarded to School 1 was a LIVE KIDNEY TRANSPLANT. This week, Mrs. Strippoli’s students watched a 3 hour Live Kidney Transplant operation. The students were amazed and engaged. One student now has ambitions to become a Doctor. We love hearing about our Grants in action.

It’s funding time!! Grant applications have been collected for the 2025-2026 school year and we are thrilled to share that we have received a record breaking amount of applications!!
In 2024-2025 we received 22 grant applications and this year (2025-2026) we received 38!! Grants range across all 3 schools and impact every student prek-8th grade in the district. One of our grants this year has already been fulfilled: 8th grade trip to Broadway to see The Outsiders. We have heard heartfelt stories of the Broadway trip and we are so glad we were able to fund this memorable experience for the class of 2026!
At the next BOE meeting on Tuesday, November 18, LFEF will award the funds and teachers and staff will be there to share their Grants and how they will impact the students. Join us on November 18th!
