Today we celebrate our amazing 5th and 6th grade culminating students as they take the next big step on their educational journey… middle school!

We are so proud of all they have accomplished during their time at President Avenue Elementary. They have grown academically, socially, and emotionally, creating memories, friendships, and achievements that will last a lifetime.

While we will miss seeing their smiling faces on campus, we know they are ready for the exciting opportunities and challenges ahead. Thank you for being such an important part of our President Avenue family.

2026-2027 After School Tutoring

One of the greatest rewards in education is seeing our students grow up and achieve their dreams. Today, we were honored to welcome back former President Avenue Elementary student Alex!

Alex returned to campus to personally thank Principal Weber for all she did during his years at President Avenue. He also took time to visit his former teachers and after-school leader, sharing his gratitude for the support, encouragement, and guidance they provided throughout his elementary school journey.

Alex fondly remembered being a student in Mrs. Suminaga’s 3rd grade class, Mr. Hoff’s 5th grade class, and spending many afternoons in the after-school program with Ms. Ivy. He even shared that he still has a writing assignment from Mrs. Forster’s 1st grade class where he wrote, “When I grow up, I want to be a Marine.”

Today, that dream is becoming a reality. Alex recently graduated with honors from an outstanding military high school and will be heading to boot camp in just a few months to begin his journey as a United States Marine.

We are incredibly proud of Alex and all he has accomplished. His dedication, perseverance, and gratitude are an inspiration to our entire school community. Thank you for coming back to visit and remind us why we do what we do.

President Avenue Elementary would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to two incredible educators as they begin their well-earned retirement journey.

After 37 years in education, Ms. Touscany leaves behind a remarkable legacy of dedication, compassion, and service to students and families. We are grateful for the countless lives she has touched throughout her career.

We also celebrate former teacher and instructional coach Mrs. Harrod, whose leadership, mentorship, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on both students and fellow educators.

Thank you both for your years of service, your passion for education, and the difference you have made in the lives of so many. We wish you happiness, good health, and endless adventures in this exciting new chapter of life.
