If you are a narcissist though, I believe there is still hope for you, if you can first acknowledge your situation. There is such a thing as a growth mindset; you can evolve out of the misery if you can focus on self improvement and stop playing to the gallery.

Boom! Reason why those who do not dread conflict tend to be the most successful.
Question is: what are we modeling for our sons and daughters as fathers, mothers, husbands and wives? If what we are modeling does not guarantee that they will be better husbands, wives, fathers and mothers, we are failing in that department. I think that, even with our mistakes, we can ensure that good wins when we are humble enough to admit we have fallen short of Universal Intelligence’s expectation (because we know better) and make the experience a teachable moment.
