Quartscape reimagines a single-family property as a thoughtfully designed four-unit residential community through the strategic use of Los angeles’s ADU regulations. The project balances increased housing density with privacy, comfort, and neighborhood compatibility, demonstrating how thoughtful design can unlock the full potential of a residential site.

Independent entrances, carefully planned layouts, and a focus on minimizing noise transfer allow each residence to function as a home of its own while contributing to a cohesive architectural composition.

This 400 SF ADU was designed around the idea that compact living shouldn’t mean compromising comfort. By elevating the sleeping area above the living room, we were able to create a flexible and open living space that accommodates lounging, working, cooking, and everyday life within a highly efficient layout.

Every inch was carefully considered—from integrated storage and a full bathroom to a shared utility zone that provides flexibility for rental income, multigenerational living, or guest accommodations.

This Pacific Palisades residence is defined by a dramatic central void that brings daylight deep into the heart of the home, creating a striking architectural experience from the moment of arrival. A floating staircase, expansive glazing, and seamless indoor-outdoor connections establish a sense of movement and transparency throughout the space.

Nestled in the heart of Sylmar, this two-story development reimagines compact, multi-unit living under SB9 and ADU guidelines. Featuring three thoughtfully designed units — an SB9 unit and JADU on the first floor, plus an attached ADU above — the project emphasizes spatial clarity, privacy, and a seamless connection to the outdoors. Smooth stucco, warm vertical wood, and deep window recesses create a balanced composition, while private yards and a rooftop deck extend living into the landscape. A modern approach to urban infill, rooted in material honesty and thoughtful design.
