Be specific, not vague.
“Could someone help with an appointment sometime” will get ignored.
“I need someone to take Mom to her 2pm appointment Thursday” gets answered.

Skip the apology.
Every “I hate to ask” or “no pressure” gives them permission to do nothing.

Don’t over-explain the why. They don’t need three paragraphs of context. They need to know what’s needed and by when.

Give a deadline.
“Let me know by Wednesday” creates urgency. “Whenever you can” creates silence.
