Our recycling innovation projects allow families to see how simple skills can grow into creativity, engineering, and problem-solving opportunities. These family take-home STEAM projects are designed to be hands-on, playful, and easy for families to complete together using everyday recycled materials. This year, our open-ended projects included Robots, Pinewood Derby Race Cars, Home Depot Blooming Picture Frames, and African American History Exhibits.
Thank you, families, for taking the time to cut, tape, paint, stack, and build together while strengthening small hand muscles through creative, hands-on learning experience. 🫶🏾

At 112th Street Early Education Center, our young learners showed us the power of voice, connection, and community through our PBIS/Restorative Practices circle series. Each week, students engaged in meaningful dialogue and skill-building around:
💬 Peaceful communication
🧠 Problem-solving
❤️ Feelings identification
🤝 Building relationships
🌿 Stress management
🎯 Goal setting
Through community circles, students practiced listening with empathy, speaking with intention, and showing up for one another to nurture belonging, agency, and a healing-centered classroom.
We're proud of our brilliant little leaders and the foundation they’re building for a more connected, compassionate school community. Thanks a Bunch, Mrs. Byrd and Mrs. Dawn for visiting.

Spring Vibes 🐣🌺🐰🌼🐇Our Spring Festival was a blast! The fun started with a Spring Egg Hunt, pictures of bugs Scavenger Hunt, games and activities for the families that joined us. All of the families were encouraged to participate in the Spring Basket Decorating Contest by creating their child's basket. Mr. Bunny wanted to take pictures with all of the scholars. The winner of the contest was selected by Mr. Bunny. Congratulations Eli-Rose.🏆Thank you parents for the donations, your help with the set up and your engagement with your child. The fun didn't stop there. The children had a pizza , cupcake 🧁 and juice 🧃party inside their classrooms. 💛💚🧡🩷🩵
