Templo en Uxmal - This was one of the temple ruins located in Uxmal, Merida. As part of our weekend excursions, we learned about the varying architectural styles of the Mayan and native people of southern Mexico. This particular temple was constructed in the Chenes style.

A Street View of the Basilica del Pilar - This photo was taken in Plaza de Pilar, Zaragoza, Spain. It shows the unique architecture of Spain’s buildings, and in the center is the dome of the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, a Catholic Church dedicated to the Virgin Mary under the name of Our Lady of the Pillar. She was known as "Mother of the Hispanic Peoples" by Pope John Paul II. It is believed to be the first-ever church dedicated to Mary. I especially love this perspective of the church because, as a photographer, I love shooting leading lines, which is when a photo is taken with “lines” that draw the viewer's eye to the image, typically toward a point of interest.

Canals in Amsterdam - This photo was taken on a trip to Amsterdam while walking through the streets and seamlessly integrated canals during the surreal sunset. My favorite parts of these weekend trips were always aimlessly wandering and exploring the streets of each new city we went to with my film camera in hand.
