SEIU Local 99-CCPU members take action in Sacramento to demand that Governor Newsom Gavin Newsom offers childcare providers the same cost-of-living increase that other educators are receiving. 🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Childcare providers educate our children in their most impactful years. 👶 Quality early childhood education shapes our future generations’ lifetime outcomes. We must invest in our children’s future by investing in providers’ pay.

Final decisions about the budget are being made. The time to act is now ‼️

☎️ Call Governor Newsom and demand that California shows its investment in early childhood education by offering the same cost-of-living adjustment to childcare providers that other educators are set to receive. Visit: ccpu.click/callnewsom

📣 SEIU Local 99-CCPU Members Taking Action!

Several SEIU Local 99 members showed up to lobby Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel’s office demanding the 4.31% COLA before the June 30th deadline!

Providers deserve wages that reflect the real cost of living and the critical care they deliver every day to California’s children and families.

Providers cannot continue to stretch shrinking budgets while costs keep rising.

Assemblymember Gabriel: Stand with SEIU Local 99 and fund the COLA for providers NOW!

The clock is ticking — June 30th is right around the corner.

Today, the LAUSD school board voted to approve a historic contract that thousands of SEIU Local 99 members fought hard to win, being ready to strike.

Members overwhelmingly ratified the agreement last month. With the school board’s ratification, our contract is now in full effect. ✊ But the fight doesn’t end there ‼️We are fighting to protect jobs against layoffs and also to ensure a budget that doesn’t cut services and programs for our highest need students.🚸

SEIU Local 99 Members at Mexican-American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) made history! 🎉

SEIU Local 99 members have ratified a historic three-year agreement that secures wage increases, backpay, and new longevity benefits after 11 years without raises.

Together, workers fought for reliable, permanent wage increases instead of one-time stipends and won.

This is what collective action looks like. This is what worker power delivers.
