Hello Mustangs! My name is Matthew Rosales, class of ‘22, and upon graduating from St. Columbkille, I continued my Catholic education as an Onward Scholar at Bishop Mora Salesian High School. At Salesian, I had the honor of serving as ASB Class President for three years and Student Body President my senior year, leading with compassion and pride while also staying active in the Letterman Society, Campus Ministry, and many other clubs, sports, and organizations.

After four amazing years at Salesian, filled with many memories and accomplishments, I am proud to announce that I will be attending UCLA this upcoming fall. Go Bruins! There, I intend to pursue a career in medicine.

To the current Mustangs at St. Columbkille—always strive to serve others with compassion, lead with dignity, and create lifelong memories. Be the changemaker of tomorrow and always dream big. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang!

¡Hola, Mustangs! Me llamo Matthew Rosales, de la promoción de 2022. Tras graduarme de la Escuela San Columbkille, continué mi educación Católica como becario del programa *Onward Scholars* en Bishop Mora Salesian High School. En Salesian, tuve el honor de servir como presidente de clase del consejo estudiantil (ASB) durante tres años y como presidente de todo el alumnado en mi último año, liderando con compasión y orgullo, al tiempo que participaba activamente en la *Letterman Society*, la Pastoral Escolar y muchos otros clubes, deportes y organizaciones.

Después de cuatro años maravillosos en Salesian, repletos de recuerdos y logros, me enorgullece anunciar que asistiré a UCLA el próximo otoño. ¡Vamos, Bruins! Allí, tengo la intención de cursar la carrera de medicina.

A los actuales Mustangs de la Escuela San Columbkille: esfuércense siempre por servir a los demás con compasión, liderar con dignidad y crear recuerdos para toda la vida. Sean los agentes de cambio del mañana y sueñen siempre en grande. ¡Una vez Mustang, siempre Mustang!

With hearts filled with faith and joy, our students received the Sacrament of First Reconciliation this Wednesday, as they continued preparing for their First Communion tomorrow. ✝️🤍

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Maria Marcos Escobedo Saucedo, beloved mother of our 8th Grade teacher, Ms. Escobedo.
Maria was a devoted member of the St. Columbkille Church community for over 60 years, a testament to her deep faith and love for our parish. Her presence, kindness, and commitment will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Our Pastor, Father Ever, along with our parish and school community, extend our heartfelt condolences to Ms. Escobedo and her entire family during this difficult time. We keep them in our prayers and ask God to grant Maria eternal rest and peace.
“Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.”

Compartimos el fallecimiento de Maria Marcos Escobedo Saucedo, amada madre de nuestra maestra de octavo grado, Ms. Escobedo.
Maria fue una miembro devota de la comunidad de la Iglesia San Columbkille durante más de 60 años, un testimonio de su profunda fe y amor por nuestra parroquia. Su presencia, bondad y compromiso serán profundamente extrañados por todos quienes la conocieron.
Nuestro párroco, el Padre Ever, junto con nuestra comunidad parroquial y escolar, extienden sus más sentidas condolencias a Ms. Escobedo y a toda su familia en este momento difícil. Los mantenemos presentes en nuestras oraciones y pedimos a Dios que conceda a Maria el descanso eterno y la paz.

Third grade had an amazing field trip to the California Science Center! Students explored, discovered, and learned so much through hands-on exhibits. It was a day full of curiosity, excitement, and unforgettable memories! 🚀🔬✨

Kindergarten had a great time learning and exploring at the California Science Center. Students enjoyed hands-on activities, discovering new things, and making fun memories together. It was an exciting day full of curiosity, learning, and smiles 😊🔬🐟
