Major infrastructure investment is coming to Los Angeles — and South Los Angeles must be part of shaping what comes next.

That was the purpose of CRCD’s South LA All In Infrastructure Forum: to bring together public leaders, small businesses, contractors, workforce partners, community organizations, and residents for a practical conversation about how regional infrastructure investments can translate into real opportunity for South LA.

Thank you to Councilmember Curren D. Price, Jr. (CD9), who served as our keynote speaker, and Congresswoman Senator Sydney Kamlager (CA-37), who joined us as a special guest, for helping ground the day in the urgency and possibility of this moment.

Their remarks reinforced a central message: South LA is not on the sidelines of the region’s future. Our communities, businesses, workers, and institutions have a direct role to play in the jobs, contracts, partnerships, and long-term investments are at the heart of large infrastructure projects will shape Los Angeles in the years ahead.

For CRCD, hosting this Forum was about more than convening a conversation. It was about helping make sure the doors to opportunity are open, visible, and accessible.

What an incredible day at the Impact to Action: Reunion & Resource Fair!
The event was rooted in a simple but powerful belief: those with lived experience should help lead the conversations and solutions around justice, healing, and re-entry.

We are especially honored to have been recognized by Assemblymember Sade Elhawary as the 57th Assembly District's 2026 Nonprofit of the Year. This recognition reflects the collective work of our staff, partners, and community members who continue to champion restorative justice and equitable opportunities for all.

Celebrating growth, opportunity, and career advancement in South Los Angeles!
Through our South LA All In initiative, CRCD’s Workforce Development Department partnered with Kedren Community Health Center to implement a healthcare upskill training program. Healthcare workers are gaining access to meaningful professional development opportunities that support both their current roles and future goals.
Participants completed certifications in areas such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), grief counseling, and other behavioral health specialties- building practical skills that strengthen the quality of care in their communities while opening doors for career advancement. This program is about more than training- it’s about transformation.
We’re proud to celebrate the employees who completed the program, as well as the dedicated teams at Kedren and CRCD who made this initiative possible. Together, we’re building stronger career pathways and a more resilient healthcare workforce in South LA
