🎉I’m so excited to see you all at the International Pilates Conference in Duluth, GA!

It’s a weekend dedicated to deepening our understanding of the classical system, teaching with clarity, and continuing Joseph Pilates’ original intention: whole body health through control and awareness.

If you’ll be attending, please come say hello! I’d love to meet you in person.

The pause is powerful.

This time of year, everything starts to accelerate: work, family, holidays, even our own expectations.

But October reminds us: movement doesn’t have to be fast to be meaningful.

In Pilates, and in life, we learn to steady ourselves in the stretch.
To move with intention.
To let the quiet moments shape the next ones.

💬 What does “moving with intention” look like for you right now? I’d love to hear what this season is teaching you.

Bridging is one of those deceptively simple Pilates essentials that shows up everywhere. Mat, Reformer, Cadillac…you’ll find its imprint throughout the system.

And when we teach it well? It creates a foundation for everything from deep spinal mobility to dynamic backbends.

Here’s how we build, spot, and strengthen bridges in classical work 👇

You can feel the shift. 🍂

In the leaves. In the air. In your practice.

Fall has a way of softening the edges – calling us inward and inviting reflection.

What’s changing in your studio this season?
New clients? New energy? A new rhythm?

For me, it’s about slowing down and paying attention to the quality of movement…not just the structure of it.

This season, let your practice be quieter but deeper.
Fewer reps. More depth.
Fewer expectations. More awareness.

You can repeat an exercise 100 times…

But if you’re not in harmony with the movement – the breath, the apparatus, the rhythm – you’re just chasing precision.
True mastery comes from connection.

✨To yourself.
✨To the student in front of you.
✨To the method and all its layers.

The next time you teach Spine Stretch Forward…

Try cueing this:
“Let the breath move you forward instead of pulling you down.”

It softens the upper back, quiets the shoulders, and suddenly the whole body starts to organize around breath…not tension.

Coming home after teaching on the road is a strange kind of exhale.
It’s quiet again.
The pace slows.
And all the questions I heard from teachers around the world start to settle in.

Because while every teacher and every student is different…

We’re all chasing the same thing:
✨ A deeper connection to the work
✨ A better way to teach it
✨ A way to feel grounded in our own movement again

That’s what I bring back into the studio after every event.
And it’s what I share each month inside the Mastery Series.

But for now…
I’m back on the mat.
And it feels good. 😃

What we share online will never fully capture what it takes to get there.
So if your practice feels messy or imperfect…good!

That means it’s REAL.

Stay in the process. That’s where the gold is. ✨

A few things fueling my practice and curiosity lately….
What’s inspiring you right now? I’d love to hear. ⬇️

I’m in the in-between.

My youngest is off to college.
I’m leaving Los Angeles after 35 years.
And I don’t yet know where I’m landing next.

What I DO know is this:
Precision and flow are partners. Structure has its place but so does surrender.

In both life and Pilates, we don’t always get to choreograph what’s coming. But we can practice trusting the process.

If you’re in a season of transition…welcome!

♥️You’re not alone. Let’s practice letting go, together.

The rolling exercises can be challenging. But they’re also some of the most rewarding.

When we approach them with curiosity and technique, they become a training ground for breath, balance, and transformation—on and off the mat.

This month, I’m sharing practical ways to deepen your connection to this work inside the newsletter.
