Los Angeles Public Library Summer Reading program has been sign up your children they should be reading everyday in the summer for at least 30 minutes to one hour everyday.

Now this is how you kick off a celebration!

Back in 2021, United Airlines Flight 1258 celebrated Juneteenth with an all-Black flight staff, from the pilots and flight attendants to the gate agents.

The special flight included a speech from Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, a saxophone performance from pilot Sal Crocker, and a water cannon salute before takeoff.

Spelman College has made history with its Class of 2026, producing seven valedictorians — all brilliant, beautiful Black women standing at the very top of their class. This extraordinary achievement is being celebrated as a powerful testament to Black excellence, sisterhood, and academic brilliance.

These young women have raised the bar and shown the world what is possible when talent meets opportunity and determination. Spelman continues to prove why it remains a powerhouse for educating and empowering Black women.
