The California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators (CAAASA) Leadership Academy Series proudly presents the AI Summer Institute for Educators — a six-session virtual professional learning experience designed to help educators harness the power of artificial intelligence for educational excellence.

Last month, educational leaders from across California gathered at Lynwood Unified School District for a powerful day of learning, collaboration, and reflection.

As part of the ongoing partnership between CCEE and CAAASA, participants explored the systems, strategies, and practices helping to improve outcomes for Black students and create more equitable learning environments.

The day was filled with meaningful conversations, shared insights, and opportunities to learn from one another’s experiences. Together, district and county leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advancing educational equity and ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive.

Thank you to Lynwood Unified School District for hosting and to all who participated in this important work. We look forward to continuing this journey together.

The 2027 CAAASA Conference has a new date, and it’s now set to coincide with the Annual Celebration of Black History in America this February!

Join us for an enriching experience starting with the Preconference on Tuesday, February 23, 2027, followed by the Conference from Wednesday, February 24, through Friday, February 26, 2027. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in solutions based discussions while celebrating the rich legacy upon which our work toward educational equity stands.
