The Stanford Networking Happy Hour event at the Firestone Walker Brewing Company in Marina Del Rey was a lot of fun! Thank you to all of the SBAASC members who attended. It was great to see all of you there!

Following the incredibly successful 2026 Stanford Black Alumni Summit a week ago, we heard you! Many of you expressed interest in supporting specific areas that are important to our community. So, we want to share how you can do that during Stanford Day of Giving. (Note: there’s a generous matching program available!)

Stanford Day of Giving is a university-wide celebration of philanthropy that brings the Stanford community together to celebrate the power and impact of collective giving. This year marks the second annual Day of Giving.

Stanford Day of Giving will be held from 5:00 a.m. (PT) on May 13 to 5:00 p.m. (PT) on May 14. Donations made during this time will be matched dollar for dollar while matching funds remain available, making this the best time to donate! No donation amount is too small. Below are some of the causes that may be of interest:

Black Community Services Center: Double your Impact with a donation to the BCSC! Each community center that receives gifts from 50 unique donors (individuals who make a gift) unlocks $5,000 for that center. But why stop there? Each community center that receives gifts from 100 unique donors unlocks an additional $5,000 for that center – doubling the impact!
