Eight CDU nursing students have been selected for the Pediatric Pathway Program in partnership with Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Students will gain specialized pediatric experience while learning alongside healthcare professionals at one of the nation's leading children’s hospitals.

Programs like this help prepare workforce-ready nurses while addressing the growing need for nurses in California.

As we celebrate CDU's 60th anniversary, we look back at a defining moment in our history: the first graduation ceremony of the Drew/UCLA Medical Education Program, where 15 students of the charter class earned their M.D. degrees.

Their achievement helped pave the way for generations of physicians dedicated to advancing health equity.

Reflecting the value of a CDU education and a strong return on investment, the University ranks No. 26 (tie) among U.S. colleges and universities with the highest-paid graduates, according to Business Insider’s analysis of U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard data.

Dr. Charles R. Drew (June 3, 1904 - April 1, 1950), a brilliant African-American physician, dreamed of establishing a school where Black physicians and future health professionals could learn, train, and lead.

Today and every day, CDU honors the medical visionary and trailblazer whose name we proudly carry.
