Penn alumni Ashley Wren Collins (C’98) and Jordan Rockwell (C’00) will be appearing at Diesel Bookstore in Santa Monica on Wednesday, June 17 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss their newly released romantic comedy novel, She Wrote, He Wrote: A New York Love Story.
Joining them in conversation will be Hallmark Channel screenwriters Uma Incrocci and Talia Gonzalez for an evening of storytelling, screenwriting, publishing, romance, and plenty of laughs.
We’re excited about the event and would be grateful for any help spreading the word to fellow Penn alumni in the Los Angeles area!

Join us for an engaging evening as we follow the Yellow Brick Road from the 19th-century origin of Penn’s performing arts community, through a period of remarkable growth beginning in the 1980s, to a future that promises even more opportunities and support for student artists.
Kushol Gupta, C’97, GR’03, will help set the stage with an overview of the history of the performing arts at Penn before Dr. Timothy Rommen, Inaugural Vice Provost for the Arts, and Christopher Gruits, Executive & Artistic Director, Penn Live Arts, take the conversation further - exploring where Penn has been, where it’s headed, and offering a preview of the strategic vision shaping the future of the arts on campus.

Penn alumni Ashley Wren Collins (C’98) and Jordan Rockwell (C’00) will appear at Barnes & Noble The Grove on Wednesday, May 20 at 7 PM for a live dramatic reading, Q&A, and signing celebrating their new novel, She Wrote, He Wrote: A New York Love Story.
The romantic comedy follows aspiring writer Joanna Peterson-Mills and finance scion Logan Thurgood through a chaotic, funny, and heartfelt “not-so meet cute” in modern-day New York City. The event will feature a live dramatic reading performed by stars of The Young and the Restless, including Mark Grossman, Melissa Claire Egan, Michael Graziadei, and Elizabeth Hendrickson.
The evening will be directed by Daytime Emmy-winning director Fritz Brekeller and followed by audience Q&A and book signing.

Fellow Penn alum Jon Kean (C’89) is bringing his latest documentary THE HOLLYWOOD RABBI to Opening Night at the LA Jewish Film Festival and it looks incredible.
The film dives into the remarkable life of Rabbi Marvin Hier, a two-time Oscar winner and founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, whose story connects world leaders, Hollywood legends, and decades of impact.
Opening Night includes a special tribute, notable guest appearances, and a reception to kick things off.

With this being the 25th anniversary of 9/11, educators nationwide are seeking a resource to help them navigate this difficult subject in a developmentally appropriate way.

This Remembering September 11 resource supports the introduction of this topic to young children. Teachers of kindergarten, first grade and second grade can use this in the classroom. Parents can use this resource at home. It includes five videos: ANNIVERSARY, EMERGENCY, HERO, MEMORY, and SERVICE.
