VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR HIGH SCHOOLERS

If your child is looking for volunteer hours and loves kids and Halloween, I have the perfect spot for them this weekend.

The Chattahoochie Nature Center is hosting their Halloween Hikes event this Friday, Sat & Sun.

I do the arts and crafts tables so I need some volunteers to help the kids make crafts, do some face painting and put on a happy face while the little ones enjoy this amazing event.

Need volunteers for:

Fri 24 Oct 5:30-10
Sat 25 Oct 5:30-10
Sun 26 Oct 4:30-9

If your child can volunteer but not the entire time slot, no worries. They can come help for as little and as much time as they like.

Send me a DM or text me if you think your child would be interested. The CHNC will sign them off so bring school doc if you have one, if not, no worries, they can still get the hours.

CLEVER- It's good practice to check these apps on Clever a few times a week (I check them daily for the students I work with).

These assignments are often overlookeded and can impact grades negatively.

There are plenty of other apps but these are the ones I see used most and/or often find incomplete work on.

Sounds like everyone had a successful 1st week back to school!

This week, all classes should be pretty set up and homework will increase as expected.

I also work with students 1 on 1 nightly on managing their classes. We work on executive functioningg skills and how to be successful in every class everyday.

Happy 2nd full week of school! Grades should be popping up this week. Now is a good time to go to your students Clever account (found on the right side of their CTLS Dashboard) and make sure they have hearted all the apps they use daily/weekly. Then go to each individual class (found below favorites) and ask your child what apps they know they are using in class. It is good practice for your child (and you) to check these links nightly to make sure they are not forgetting to do an assignment. These are easy A's!
