We are a specialized Science, Math and Technology Magnet Program at Wheeler High School. The Center for Advanced Studies accepts applications from throughout Cobb County. Current students come from public, private and homeschool backgrounds and are among the best and brightest in the state. Partnerships with Georgia Tech, the University of Georgia, Southern Polytech, the CDC and others put The Center for Advanced Studies at the forefront of scientific research and education in Georgia.

We had such an amazing time at our annual Spring Fling as we welcomed in the upcoming Magnet freshmen! Our mentors had so much fun meeting their new mentees and can’t wait for the coming year with them. Current Magnet students and the upcoming freshman enjoyed many activities, like a popsicle stand, pickleball, karaoke, and more! 🌸🌷
