The last month of school is filled with wonderful opportunities to honor our seniors. From signing each other's yearbooks at senior breakfast to the proud moments of receiving their cords and stoles at senior award night, and the nostalgia of revisiting their elementary and middle schools during their senior walk, these experiences create lasting memories and celebrate their journey.
All these events culminate in a significant milestone for our seniors: graduation. We look forward to celebrating the remarkable Class of 2026 alongside our dedicated staff, faculty and families — whose steadfast support has guided them to this remarkable achievement — at our graduation ceremony on Sunday, June 7 at 10 a.m. at Noble Field.

On May 29, Jaworek Elementary School proudly hosted its inaugural Inclusion Fair, where fifth grade students had the opportunity to learn about disabilities and the tools that support individuals with disabilities. From walking on crutches to navigating hallways in wheelchairs to learning sign language, our students gained invaluable insights through hands-on experience.
We are immensely proud of the Jaworek School and our district-wide special education staff and faculty members for their commitment to creating and hosting events that foster a unified district. Their dedication to embracing, celebrating and uplifting all students, both with and without disabilities, is truly inspiring!
Each year, the United Brethren of Freemasons opens nominations for the prestigious Masonic Teacher of the Year award. This year, our three finalists, nominated by their peers, were Nicholas Rolando, a special education teacher at Marlborough High School; Laura Kyle, an adjustment counselor at Richer School; and Nicole Thomas, an English Language Arts teacher at Whitcomb Middle School.
On May 29, Ms. Thomas was surprised by Masonic members, along with Mayor Dumais, School Committee Vice Chair Mrs. Bodin-Hettinger, School Committee member Mr. Caruso, Superintendent Dr. DeFalco, Principal House and other district and community leaders, with the news that she had been selected as the 2026 Masonic Teacher of the Year. While Ms. Thomas was shocked and speechless, her students exclaimed, "Miss, I told you that you were going to win!" and "We all told you!"
Congratulations to Ms. Thomas for this well-deserved honor, and to our peer-nominated finalists, Nicholas and Laura!
