Founded by musicians and veteran music teachers Joseph and Kay Barker, Musicologie is a boutique musical experience. We specialize in private, one-on-one lessons for any age or ability.
Our students’ talent knows no bounds! The creativity stretched from the lesson book to the art canvas and you wow’d us with all the fun renditions of our iconic Musicologie bird. We’re still sifting through all the super submissions and can’t wait to feature some in our studios all over the country. 🎨🎶🌟

RockStars is Musicolgie’s premier program that matches students with bandmates and teaches every aspect of group playing. They meet new friends, learn song arrangements, apply skills from their private lessons and have a blast playing at real venues!

Alright, alright, we don’t actually believe in magical shortcuts. But we DO know this:
When you have a teacher who meets you where you are, helps you explore new things and plays alongside you…progress feels easier than you ever expected.

Loving this encouragement towards having a growth mindset. You might not feel like you’re the musician you want to be, or like you’re as good at _____ as you wish (sight reading, harmonizing, finger picking…) But perhaps you’re just not there YET. You’re still growing, and the possibilities…and YOU…are infinite!
