From monthly Virtue Breakfasts to the Father/Son St. Louis trip and the Victory Ranch retreat in 6th grade, we are intentional about creating opportunities for fathers and sons to grow together.
Thank you to the dads and grandfathers who lead, encourage, support, and walk alongside our boys each step of the way. Your presence matters more than you know. Happy Fatherโ€™s Day to all of our PDS dads and grandfathers! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

โ€œSeek the welfare of the city where I have sent you...โ€ Jeremiah 29:7
This verse guided our Leadership 901 Class of 2026, a sixth-grade elective that challenges boys to research local nonprofits and support one organization with their time, talent, and treasure.
This year, the boys chose Streets Ministries and spent the quarter fundraising through 3D-printed Crusader keychains, popsicle sales, and Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit breakfasts. Their hard work culminated on Class Day, where they proudly presented a donation of $3,394.66.
Thank you to our students, families, faculty, staff, and Chick-fil-A for making this gift possible. Most importantly, our boys learned that servant leadership can make a lasting impact on our city and community.

Heroes & Helpers Week at Camp PDS! ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™‚๏ธ
This week, our campers are celebrating the everyday heroes who make our community stronger and safer. As part of our Heroes & Helpers theme, the boys had the opportunity to learn from local firefighters about fire safety, emergency preparedness, and what it means to be a servant leader and help others with courage and compassion.

๐Ÿ†๐ŸƒSometimes the best support doesnโ€™t happen in an office, it happens around a table with a deck of cards.
Throughout the year our 4th grade boys spend time playing UNO and 3rd graders playing Go Fish with Mr. Edwards, our school counselor. These interactions create opportunities for boys to build trust in a relaxed setting with him and each other. It helps to normalize visits to the counselors office when they need extra support.
The annual competitions come to an exciting finish with the UNO and Go Fish Championships held during the final days of the year. Congratulations to 3rd Grader Gates Cobb and 4th Grader Ian Reze!

Our PDS coaches are not only beloved by the boys, but they also go above and beyond to create activities that spark excitement and keep boys moving. From indoor putt-putt courses on rainy days to ga ga ball, rock climbing, and even glow-in-the-dark 9 square, the boys are learning healthy habits while having fun in creative and engaging ways.
You never know what you might find in the PDS gyms, fields, or Lifetime Fitness Center, but one thing is certain-the boys are always moving! ๐Ÿ’ชโšฝโ›ณ๐Ÿง—

Happy National Donut Day! ๐Ÿฉ
Each month, we celebrate birthdays during Friday chapel with a sweet tradition. Boys with birthdays that month come to the front of the sanctuary as their classmates sing to them, then itโ€™s time to head down the aisle for a well-earned celebratory donut. A treasured PDS tradition that brings so much joy!

PDS Band is offered to boys in 5th and 6th grade. The boys receive both small group and full-band instruction under the direction of our outstanding band director, Terry Himebook. Recently the PDS band hit all the right notes at the Memphis Band Solo & Ensemble Competition! Every single PDS entry earned a medal which is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to the boysโ€™ hard work. ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‘
