One of our students made these lemon ginger lozenges from the Kiddie Kitchen Apothecary and shared how much her family enjoyed them.

While raiding three small children who love herbs here's what I've learned...

Children learn herbalism best when they can touch it, taste it, make it, and experience it.

Making Kiddie Kitchen Apothecary was my way to help families explore herbs through hands-on recipes, activities, kitchen projects, and practical learning that actually sticks.

Inside you'll find:

🌿 Herbal recipes for children
🌿 Teas, syrups, lozenges, and more
🌿 Simple kitchen projects
🌿 Herbal education woven into everyday life
🌿 A fun way to build confidence with herbs as a family

📚 Ready to bring herbal learning into your home?

🌿 Most people grow peppermint and stop there.

But mint is a whole family of plants, and each one brings something different to the table.

Lemon balm.
Catnip.
Spearmint.
Peppermint.
Chocolate mint.
Apple mint.

They all have their place in the garden, the kitchen, and the home apothecary.
A handful of leaves can become a refreshing tea, a cooling summer drink, a fruit salad garnish, a syrup, a mocktail, or part of your herbal preparations. That's why I encourage students to stop seeing herbs as ingredients and start seeing them as tools.

When you understand a plant's qualities, you begin to recognize where it fits in everyday life.

The best herbal gardens aren't filled with exotic plants you've never used, they're filled with herbs your family reaches for again and again.

🌱 Which mint family herb grows best in your garden?

The chart reflects the condition.
But it rarely reflects the full experience.
There’s more happening than what gets documented.

Most people are taught to memorize herbs.

They learn:

lists
actions
protocols
“this herb for that symptom”

But once they’re asked to explain why they chose an herb, what systems are involved, what patterns keep repeating, or how to think through a protocol strategically… they realize there are gaps.

At Yah’s Apothecary, students are trained to think differently.

We focus on:
• systems thinking
• protocol logic
• assessment
• energetics
• anatomy & physiology
• herb-drug interactions
• reasoning over memorization

Herbalism is deeper than memorizing monographs and collecting random information.

If you want to become a stronger herbal thinker, not just someone who repeats information, the Student Vault was built for that exact purpose.
