Today was truly one for the books! Advocacy is needed!

Our Day Without Child Care event was filled with love, laughter, advocacy, and community. Seeing families, educators, leaders, and supporters come together for children and child care was such a powerful moment.

From the rides and bounce houses to the conversations and community connections, today reminded me why this work matters so much. Child care is more than a service. It supports families, working parents, and the future of our city.

A very special thank you to Porter-Leath Memphis, First 8 Memphis, Community leader LaShunta Rudd, Councilwoman Yolanda Cooper-Sutton, and Child Care Changemakers for showing up, supporting, and continuing to advocate for children and families in Memphis.

Huge thank you as well to Fox 13 News and ABC 24 News for helping bring awareness to the importance of child care through your event coverage. Your support helped amplify the voices of educators, providers, and families throughout our community.
And thank you to every parent, staff member, volunteer, and supporter who helped make today special. Memphis showed up today
