We love celebrating the incredible ways our alumnae are making a difference in the lives of others! 💙🎨

As the SAA-SDS K–8th Grade Art Teacher and a member of the Birthright of Memphis Board of Directors, SAA Alumna Meghan Watermeier Slater, ‘02 is using her gifts to inspire creativity, foster healing, and serve her community with compassion.

“Combining art education with art therapy has always been a dream of mine. In May 2025 I became certified as an Art Therapy Practitioner and have loved finding different ways to practice a holistic approach that nurtures self expression and emotional well-being. I have worked with my students as well as groups of adults including SAA-SDS faculty, Dominican Associates, and Birthright moms over the past year focusing on symbolism and color psychology. No matter what age, we all go through challenges and process emotions differently. I look forward to finding many more opportunities to help others engage in creative processes for stress relief, self exploration, and personal growth through art therapy.”

From the classroom to the community, Meghan’s commitment to nurturing self-expression and emotional well-being is creating a lasting impact. We are so proud to see her blending education, art, and service to help others grow, heal, and thrive. 🌟👑Congratulations to St. Agnes Academy alumna Alex Clark, ’23, on being named the 2026 Queen of the Germantown Charity Horse Show!👑🌟

Alex spends most of her time riding, training, and working with horses while pursuing her degree at the University of Memphis and remaining actively involved with Rollingwoods Farm.

Reflecting on her time at St. Agnes, Alex shares: “As a 2023 graduate of SAA, my educational experience emphasized discipline, consistency, and respect for tradition, which have carried into my involvement in the equestrian industry. I am continuing my education at the University of Memphis while remaining actively engaged in training, showing, and contributing to the horse community through Rollingwoods Farm. At Rollingwoods, I manage the social media and website. Additionally, I train ponies from the time they are born into having show careers.”

As the 2026 Queen, Alex will serve a one-year term representing the Germantown Charity Horse Show in a variety of ways, helping promote and support one of the Mid-South’s most beloved traditions.

Congratulations to alumna Ellie Carayiannis ’26, student Helen Grace Toohig, ’27, and student Grace Turner, ’28 on being selected as Princesses in the Germantown Charity Horse Show!👑🐴🌟

As part of this long-standing community tradition, these young women help support the show both before and during the event, assisting behind the scenes and helping everything run smoothly. Their dedication, service, and enthusiasm contribute to the success of an event that has been a cherished part of our community for generations.🐴👑🌟

From the halls of St. Agnes to leading the way in the aesthetics industry, Sydney Knose Flanery ’10 continues to make an impact.

As CEO and owner of Skin Studio in Germantown, Sydney recently traveled to Nashville to educate fellow aesthetic providers on business growth and success. The event brought together the top 20 providers of SkinPen Microneedling, and Sydney’s practice has remained a top account for the past three years—a remarkable achievement and testament to her leadership.

Reflecting on her St. Agnes experience, Sydney shared:

“St. Agnes helped me to know the power of not only empowering other women over being in competition with them but also the power of understanding numbers especially to grow your business and I am so thankful for those lessons early in life!”
