For the third year in a row, Woodland’s yearbook has been selected for the 2026 Walsworth Gallery of Excellence! 🎉

Only a small percentage of yearbooks across the country receive this honor. The Gallery of Excellence recognizes books that reflect thoughtful planning, strong storytelling, creative design, and a commitment to capturing the true spirit of the school community.

This level of excellence does not happen without steady leadership, a dedicated staff, and students who work tirelessly to preserve the memories of the school year.

We are so proud of our yearbook team for continuing this tradition of excellence and for creating a book that truly tells the Woodland story.

Second grade Ranger Day was a big adventure!

Our students completed the requirements for the Jr. Ranger Program and enjoyed a hands-on day full of learning and fun. Nurse Kathy taught them how to properly apply a bandage and even how to make a tourniquet in an emergency. They also made fishing poles and friendship bracelets, and had a special visit from a real ranger from Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park!

What an unforgettable day of discovery, creativity, and outdoor learning!

During the last few weeks of school, our 4th grade students got a special sneak peek into Middle School during lunch with Mrs. Hackmeyer, our Head of Middle School! 🎉📚

From leadership opportunities and team-building activities to athletics, arts, and exciting academic challenges, Middle School is full of ways for students to discover new passions, build confidence, and make lasting friendships.

We can’t wait to welcome these future Middle Schoolers as they grow, explore, and thrive in the next chapter of their journey!

This spring, fourth graders spent the day “Walkin’ in Memphis” as they explored the landmarks that make our city so special! ⁠

After studying Memphis history and culture in class, students toured iconic spots including AutoZone Park, the FedEx Forum, Beale Street, Peabody Hotel, the Orpheum, Graceland, and the Memphis Botanic Gardens. From music and sports to history and the arts, students learned about culture and history in the place they call home!
