Last weekend at the IU Southwest college exposure camp, Julianna Marrero (16U Crn. Pt. Crush) drives the ball to left field and bring home a run. Jules coasts into second base. Good to be seen by local colleges. Great swing Jules.

With runner on second and third, Julianna Marrero (16U Crn. Pt. Crush) turns on a pitch and drives it over the right fielder’s head for a nice double and rbi in Warsaw yesterday. Great hit Jules. Hot off the press, Mom said they finished in 2nd place in this tourney. Congrats Jules.
Great grab on the high pitch. Ellianah Lilly (14U Indiana Magic Gold) fires a one hopper to her shortstop for the nice tag. It’s such a treat watching this young catcher work. Great grab and throw Ellie.
A long rain delay didn’t quiet Haley Gill’s (12U RA Lady Rebels) bat. Here she has a 1 & 2 count with bases loaded and she jacks the ball deep to center field. Not sure if they won or not but helping the team with a 3 run base clearing stand up double can’t hurt. Great hitting Haley.
Gotta love speed on the base path. Amelia Franco (14U Iowa Premier Gold) streaks around the bases after pounding the ball to deep center field. Thankfully neither player was injured at the play at home. Because the overthrow to the plate was as she was sliding in, a home run was awarded. It’s her second home run of the season. If you think Amelia is an awesome sprinter, you should watch her run cross country races at her school. Great hit Amelia.
Ellianah Lilly (14U Indiana Magic Gold) has to work her throw around the moving batter and make a perfect throw to 3rd to get the runner trying to steal. Elli doesn’t get flustered by the batter and her throw gets to the shortstop covering the play. Sure would have loved to see some cheering by her team after keeping the runner from getting to 3rd because on the next pitch, that batter shoots the ball through the infield and would have scored that runner. Great concentration Elli.

Congrats to Kaylee Blocker (Hanover Central HS) and her team for beating East Noble HS to advance to the Indiana 3A State Finals June 12th at Purdue University. Kaylee could not let her 0-3 at the plate in the previous game bother her. So she stepped up to the plate to help her team seal the deal in the top of the 6th with a dead center field 2 run 💣. If you read my posts, that’s where she hit her last 💣 2 games ago. Stay smoking 🔥 at the plate Kaylee.

Clarissa Martinez (13U Riptide) lines a shot out to center field and coasts in to second for a nice double this past weekend in Columbus IN. at the USSSA State tournament. She was 3/4 with two doubles in this championship game. Riptide went undefeated and won the tournament in fine fashion. Congrats on the great hitting weekend Clarissa.
On the heels of a nice catch by the right fielder, a perfect throw comes to Alice Estrada (14U TC Boomstix). Alice put a firm tag on the runner that tagged up and tried to score. Not an easy 9-2 double play because Alice is looking in the opposite direction for the throw. Great concentration Alice.
It’s really great to see young teams putting on plays like this. Mae Mullen (12U Schererville Heat) throws to shortstop on the steal from 1st trying to get the runner at 3rd to go. The runner takes the bait and a perfect throw back to Mae with a text book tag down at home stop a score from happening. Great job Coach Harris and team.
