On this day, back in 2018, it was a pretty special day for what is now Discovery Self Defense, though we didn't know it at the time.
On that day, Leonard and Maynard Breese got their second degree black belts, and Wu-Chun, Jason Ramos and Angelo got their first degree black belts.... under the watchful eyes of Mark White (check out Mark with no beard!) and John Poliquin.
Little did we know that that dojo would shut down a scant year or so later, and that we would be opening up our own school, under the guidance of Discovery Martial Arts.
Since then, Wu-Chun has received his Second degree, and Jeremiah was VERY BELATEDLY promoted to black belt.
I am humbled and proud to have had the chance to work with all of these people, and with all of the black belts in training at Discovery Self Defense - Arizona...and the soon to be Discovery Self Defense - South Carolina.
