🎉 Agnew Middle School is welcoming a new principal! Please join us in congratulating Gabriel Cabarrouy on his new role.

Gabriel Cabarrouy has more than 16 years of experience in public education and most recently served as an assistant principal at Mesquite High School. Prior to becoming a Skeeter, he served as an assistant principal at Vanston Middle School.

Prior to joining Mesquite ISD, Mr. Cabarrouy served as an assistant principal in Richardson ISD and held campus and department leadership roles in Rockwall ISD, Kaufman ISD and Kemp ISD.

Mr. Cabarrouy holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Illinois and a Master of Arts in journalism from Northwestern University.

7th Grade Families: Get ready for the first annual AMS Color Wars on Tuesday, 5/26! On Monday, 5/18, students will receive their color team assignments. Team assignments are final. We would love for them to rep their color for the day. Think t-shirts, sweatbands, hair accessories, socks, beads, get creative! Please keep all attire school appropriate. Crocs are not a good idea as students will be playing old school yard games to earn points for their color team. Points will be awarded throughout the day for spirit, competition, and all around GRIT+ behavior. Would you like to volunteer? We would love to have your help! Fill out this Google form and someone will contact you. You must FIRST fill out the MISD volunteer application on the district website in order to help on our campus.

Students will also be notified beginning on Monday if they have been placed on the Loss of Privilege list.

Our Lady Trojans took the win in tonight’s Sister Rivalry game vs. Wilkinson⚽️ Always a battle, but still one Mesquite Skeeter family ♥️Shoutout to both teams for the fight! Playoffs start next week! Good luck everyone 🩵
