The House Committee on Appropriations advanced a request for $500 million for the Charter Schools Program (CSP) -- that's a $60 million increase from last year and a significant step forward after years of flat funding.
The bill includes several provisions designed to help charter schools grow and serve students more effectively. These include greater flexibility for states administering CSP grants, expanded eligibility for facilities funding, and new opportunities to support aspiring charter school leaders.
