Miami Made 2026 closed with a special capsule collection commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States — 10 innovative looks created using CLO 3D, a fashion design software that simulates and renders digital garments in real time as a virtual prototyping tool.
This special finale was produced and styled by renowned Fashion Stylist Danny Santiago.

Ten years of shaping talent. One runway defining what comes next.
The Miami Fashion Institute's 2026 Graduate Fashion Show brought together creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation at the historic Freedom Tower, showcasing collections that reflected the vision and dedication of a new generation of designers.
More than a celebration of fashion, it marked the culmination of years of student discipline, curiosity, and creative rigor, revealed on the runway.
Congratulations to our graduating designers and faculty for an unforgettable showcase of talent.
Celebrating a decade of design, innovation, and creative heritage, this special commemorative film honors the visionary talent shaping the future of fashion at the Miami Fashion Institute.
Professor Saul Kapilivsky joined the Miami Fashion Institute nearly two years ago — and what he sees in the students is something that can't be taught: the hunger to grow.
Fashion is a profession that never stands still, and neither does MFI. As the industry evolves, so does the way we prepare the next generation to meet it with the answers they're looking for and the foundation to keep asking better questions.
At MFI, the learning never stops. That's exactly the point.
Professor Leonardo de Armas has been at the Miami Fashion Institute since 2017 — when the school was barely a year old. What he has witnessed since then is nothing short of a movement.
From Kenya to Ukraine, India to every corner of Latin America and the Caribbean, MFI has become a global destination for students drawn to the craft and the culture of fashion.
For Leonardo, the most powerful moment comes at the end of every fourth semester — when students step back and see what two years of dedication has produced. A collection that is entirely, unmistakably their own.
At MFI, we don't just teach fashion. We pass something on.
Professor Julian Asion arrived in this country as a Cuban refugee with a dream — and built a 50-year career in New York fashion on the strength of it. Nine years ago, he walked into the Miami Fashion Institute and never looked back.
For Julian, teaching isn't charity. It's reciprocity — opening the same doors that were once opened for him, and placing his students on a global stage through decades of relationships built at the highest levels of the industry.
At MFI, our faculty don't just teach fashion. They've lived it.
For the past 10 years, Professor Alberto Ravelo has helped shape the next generation of fashion talent at Miami Fashion Institute — inspiring students to dream bigger, create boldly, and become even better than the teachers who guide them.
At MFI, that's not just a philosophy. It's the foundation we were built on.

Miami Made 2026, Miami Fashion Institute’s annual graduation fashion show featuring the innovative work of fashion design students will take place at the historic Freedom Tower. This iconic venue provides a deeply meaningful backdrop for the debut collections, symbolizing hope, freedom, and cultural renaissance as the historic “Ellis Island of the South” that welcomed hundreds of thousands of Cuban exiles in the 1960s and 1970s.
