Being a mother is an initiation unlike any other. A woman is asked to expand beyond herself physically, emotionally, spiritually, and biologically. To carry life, birth life, nourish life, and remain deeply attuned to another nervous system while slowly being transformed herself. While being in this wild human experience 🌀😅
For most of human history, this transition was understood as sacred. Now, in a culture that prioritizes productivity, and performance all laid out on a bed of disconnection and illusion, motherhood is often reduced to labor, inconvenience and overwhelm instead of recognized as one of the most profound human transformations and gifts to exist.
We cannot restore reverence for motherhood without restoring reverence for birth, postpartum and the mother baby dyad.
When we relearn how to support women through these thresholds; slowly, communally, physiologically, emotionally, we begin repairing not only mothers and babies, but the fabric of society itself.
Comment “yeah baby” and I’ll send you a link to a free hour with me where we’ll explore the restoration of this initiation.

We prepare women for fertility.
We prepare women for birth.
But who prepares women for after?
Who sits beside her when the visitors stop coming?
When the adrenaline wears off?
When her body aches, her identity feels unfamiliar, and the baby in her arms suddenly feels very, very real?
Who teaches her how to trust herself?
Who helps her process the birth she can’t stop replaying in her mind?
Who notices when she hasn’t eaten, hasn’t slept, hasn’t taken a full breath all day?
Why is there so much education around getting the baby here…
but so little around caring for the woman once she arrives as a mother?
After over 10 years working in the birth and postpartum space, supporting women through birth trauma, breastfeeding, nervous system healing, and the raw transition into motherhood… I kept asking myself the same question:
What would happen if women were truly held in postpartum?
In more ways than a “baby nurse” or well meaning advice and baby shower gifts.
So I created the Postpartum Doula Training.
A training designed to teach women how to support mothers gently, holistically, and deeply in one of the most vulnerable seasons of life.
Because postpartum care should not be a luxury.
It should be the standard.
