A look back at the Summer Reading Explorers Program training week! 📚✨

Before the program began, our SREP tutors and guidance team came together to prepare for a summer of supporting young readers across and .

Through small-group tutoring, structured instruction, and evidence-based reading support, the Reading Explorers Program helps children build confidence and strengthen foundational reading skills.

Thank you to our dedicated tutors, certified teachers, and team members for helping make this summer’s program possible!

Managed and operated by our center in partnership with Nova International University Nova Southeastern University, the Reading Explorers Program offers services in Miami-Dade funded by The Children's Trust and in Broward funded by the Children’s Services Council Children’s Services Council of Broward County .

Early intervention is important and we’re here to help. 💛

If your child is 14–48 months old and experiencing social communication delays or showing signs of autism, this program is designed for you.

How can this program support your family?
✔️ Learn strategies to help your child learn and communicate
✔️ Earn up to $200 for participating

What do families need to do?
1. Complete two study visits at Florida International University, 4 months apart.
2. Fill out questionnaires about your child and your family.
3. Some families will get access to the online intervention right away and some families will get the same material in 4 months.
4. All families can continue any therapy/activities you are already doing with your child.

A look back at Let’s Talk Tech 2.0! 💻✨

Parents and caregivers joined us for an important conversation on helping children build healthy digital habits in today’s tech-driven world.

From digital literacy and online safety to AI, screen-time balance, and creating a Family Media Plan, families walked away with practical tools to support children’s wellness, connection, and responsible media use at home.

Last Friday at the 2026 Health Summit on Early Relational Health, Dr. Shayl Griffith and Dr. Katherine Bottenhorn, CCF faculty members, shared insights on supporting young children and families.

We were also proud to support the launch of the Roadmap for Early Intervention, developed through Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s Blue Ribbon Children’s Commission, with support from many early childhood, mental health, and disability community leaders, including our Director, Dr. Katie Hart, who serves as a committee member.

Does your child get anxious speaking in social or school situations? Brave Bunch is here to help.

Brave Bunch is a Summer Treatment Program for children ages 4–10 who experience selective mutism or difficulty speaking in certain settings.

The program simulates a classroom environment and provides guided opportunities for children to practice communicating, interacting with peers and adults, and building confidence one brave step at a time.

Participants will engage in activities such as morning meetings, circle time, show and tell, group projects, social games, and supported field trips.

📅 Program dates: July 20–24
*Lead-in sessions occur in person the week before.
