Here’s a little day in the life action for you. My weather app says it’s currently 89° but I can guarantee you. It feels like a solid 105°. Setting up my office space for future videos and potentially podcasts that will encompass conservation sustainability, and wildlife topics. Take a look at my channel. Because you might never bump into my account again.

Its been recommended that I offer y’all this trade—-> 5,000 likes and I let this thing sting me
Meet the tarantula hawk —> it hunts tarantulas, paralyzes them alive, and buries them with its eggs so the larvae can eat them from the inside out. Its sting is rated the second most painful insect sting on Earth, described as ‘blinding, fierce, and shockingly electric.’ So yeah… maybe don’t like and share?😅
This is Phormictopus cancerides 🕷️ the Hispaniolan Giant Tarantula, one of the largest arachnids native to this island. Adults reach a leg span of up to 8 inches with fangs exceeding 0.8 inches in length. This species occupies caves, sandstone crevices, and jungle floor debris across both the humid and subarid regions of Hispaniola. Strictly nocturnal, they emerge after dark to hunt. Rather than simply injecting venom to kill, they liquefy the internal tissue of their prey entirely, consuming them from the inside out. In this clip she is accepting a grasshopper by hand, which speaks to how opportunistic and bold their feeding response is. They almost never refuse a meal. Despite their size and appearance, their venom poses virtually no serious threat to humans. They are a reclusive, non aggressive species that retreats when encountered. The real threat in their world is the tarantula hawk wasp, a parasitoid that paralyzes them and uses their living body to incubate its larvae. Most people on this island have never seen one. That alone is reason enough to pay attention. 🌿
A lot of y'all said you wanted to see the full video of me capturing this Caribbean reef octopus and bringing it to the pool instead of splitting it into Part 1 and Part 2 so here’s the full clip!
What do you guys think? Do you prefer longer videos or shorter videos here on Facebook?
With so many people talking about how much time they spend doomscrolling on social media, I'm trying to create a space where you can learn, be entertained, and maybe even feel inspired to step outside and explore the world around you.
You would be amazed at the enrichment, the beauty, and the smiles that can be found outdoors.

This is what came to mind while going through a comment section today. I noticed that people cannot seem to help themselves. They would rather point fingers when it comes to the challenges surrounding wildlife and conservation than work together toward a common understanding and a solution that benefits everyone.
Right now, more than 33 species have been driven to extinction due to the mishandling of domestic cats worldwide.
What do you think? Could cat owners, reptile owners, PETA, and the Humane Society work together toward a common goal, or is that an impossible feat?
