History came to life for our 5th and 6th grade scholars during an unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C.!

Thanks to the generosity of Herb Kohl Philanthropies' Learning Journeys program, our scholars stood where history was made and explored the institutions that shaped our nation. MCP scholars expanded their understanding of democracy. Plus, HBCU visits offered a front-row seat to college life, inspiring them to see themselves as tomorrow's leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

Experiences like these inspire big dreams, broaden perspectives, and show scholars that their voices matter.
