During her time at MATC, Emma Fecteau inspired students as a part-time English instructor, helping learners of all ages strengthen their communication skills and confidence. Today, MATC commemorates Juneteenth, a significant day in American history that celebrates the end of slavery.

Milwaukee has one of the oldest and longest running Juneteenth Celebrations in the United States. MATC will be participating in today's Juneteenth parade, starting at 9 a.m. on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Born into a refugee family and now helping others find safety and belonging, Hasnah Hussin has turned her own journey into a mission of service. After earning her associate degree from MATC in 2023, she continues to support refugee communities through her work with Catholic Charities of Milwaukee while advocating for mental health awareness and opportunity.
