Strong partnerships create stronger schools.
LUMIN Schools is grateful for our continued partnership with the Center for Urban Teaching (CfUT) as we work together to develop outstanding educators and create meaningful learning experiences for scholars across our network.
This summer, CfUT is helping support summer school across all LUMIN campuses while also investing in teacher growth and leadership. We’re especially proud to have four LUMIN teachers serving in leadership roles, helping mentor, support, and inspire fellow educators throughout the program.
When organizations come together with a shared commitment to students, everyone grows. Thank you, CfUT, for partnering with us to strengthen teachers, build leaders, and make a lasting impact in our classrooms.

We’re still feeling the energy from last week’s LUMIN graduation celebrations.
Across our campuses, scholars walked across the stage surrounded by the people who have supported them every step of the way. Families, friends, teachers, staff, and loved ones came together to celebrate years of hard work, growth, perseverance, and achievement.
Graduation is more than a ceremony. It’s a reflection of a community that believes in its young people and the partnerships between school and home that help scholars thrive.
To our graduates, congratulations on this milestone. To the families and supporters who cheered them on, thank you for being such an important part of the LUMIN journey.
We are proud of every scholar and excited to see what comes next.

From our K5 scholars taking their first big step, to our 5th graders preparing for middle school, and our 8th graders moving on to high school, we are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.
At LUMIN, we work hard, love God, and celebrate the growth and achievements of every scholar. These completion ceremonies are a reminder of how far our students have come and the bright futures ahead of them.
Join us this weekend in celebrating our scholars! Leave a word of encouragement, share a memory, or congratulate a student in the comments. Let’s show them how proud our community is of their hard work and perseverance. 💙💛

🎬 Lights, camera, action.
As our 8th grade scholars prepare for their LUMIN completion ceremonies, they recently stepped in front of the camera to reflect on their journeys, favorite memories, lessons learned, and the experiences that have shaped them along the way.
From classroom moments to friendships, challenges, growth, and laughter, every scholar has a story to tell, and we’re excited to help share them. Stay tuned as we celebrate the voices, personalities, and experiences of the Class of 2026 as they prepare for their next chapter.

BIG moment for our Granville scholars! 🌱💡
This week, we officially broke ground on a student-designed meditation garden at Granville Lutheran School through an incredible partnership with J.H. Hassinger Construction.
What makes this so special is that our scholars didn’t just learn about design and construction — they led the process. From ideas and presentations to real-world problem solving, they experienced what career-connected learning truly looks like.
At LUMIN Schools, we’re committed to preparing scholars for life through opportunities that are Christ-Centered, Career-Connected, and Excellence-Driven. So proud of our students and thankful for the amazing partners helping bring their vision to life. 🧡

We’re excited to continue celebrating the Class of 2026 and the incredible journeys of our LUMIN alumni. 🎓
Next up is Xavier Dantzler, a former scholar from LUMIN’s Granville campus, who completed his LUMIN education in 8th grade, continued on to high school, and is now graduating this spring. This fall, Xavier will attend Marquette University where he plans to major in Business.
Watching our alumni continue to grow, pursue their goals, and take the next step toward their future is something we are incredibly proud of. Join us in celebrating Xavier and wishing him continued success as he begins this exciting new chapter.
LUMIN alumni, we want to celebrate you too. Send us your post grad plans so we can highlight the amazing paths our former scholars are taking after high school graduation.

Today was more than a groundbreaking ceremony. It was a reminder of what can happen when students are trusted with big ideas and given the opportunity to bring them to life.
This year, LUMIN scholars partnered with industry professionals from J.H. Hassinger to design a meditation garden from the ground up, learning about planning, design, collaboration, and construction along the way. Today, they officially broke ground on a space they helped imagine for reflection, peace, and community.
We’re grateful for J.H. Hassinger, Kingdom Church, and everyone who poured into this experience and showed our scholars that there truly is a place for everyone in construction and leadership.
Moments like this help students see that their ideas matter, their voices matter, and their future has no limits. 💙🧡

On Monday, May 18th, over 120 8th grade scholars walked into the 5th Annual Opportunity Expo hosted at Concordia University Wisconsin carrying resumes, elevator pitches, dreams, and purpose. Scholars had the opportunity to network with professionals from various organizations who provided feedback, encouragement, and real world insight on career pathways and leadership.
Our keynote speaker, Deidre Garrett, Vice President of TalentBridge and Business Development at Goodwill Greater Milwaukee and Chicago, reminded scholars of the importance of understanding their value before the world attempts to define it for them. Throughout the day, scholars participated in speed networking, explored college life through campus tours, and experienced what it feels like to belong in rooms connected to their future.
Exposure needs to happen often and early. When we intentionally place young people in environments that stretch their thinking, build confidence, and connect them to professionals who look like possibility, we help shift trajectories. Thank you to every partner, volunteer, educator, and organization that poured into our babies today. The village matters.
