From Sueca and Granada, our St. Anthony High School pilgrims concluded an unforgettable journey through Spain.
In Sueca, students toured a local chocolate factory—a fitting stop considering St. Anthony of Padua is recognized as the patron saint of chocolate makers and confectioners. They then traveled to Granada, where they experienced the passion of traditional flamenco, explored the breathtaking Alhambra, and visited a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of Spain’s most beloved Marian devotions.
Through faith, culture, history, and fellowship, this pilgrimage offered students a deeper connection to their Catholic heritage and the rich traditions of Spain.

🇪🇸 From the colorful streets of Barcelona to the soaring columns of the Sagrada Família, our pilgrims encountered beauty that points beyond itself. Designed by Antoni Gaudí as a “Bible in stone,” the basilica invites visitors to contemplate the life, death, and resurrection of Christ through architecture, light, and sacred symbolism.
Students also visited the Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar, a Gothic masterpiece built by the people of Barcelona as a testament to faith, sacrifice, and community.
As we continue our pilgrimage, we are reminded that every church, every city, and every step of the journey calls us closer to God.

🇫🇷 Today, our pilgrims walked in the footsteps of St. Bernadette at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes.
From the Rosary Basilica and the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception to the Grotto of Massabielle, students experienced one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in the world. They prayed where Mary appeared to Bernadette, touched the rock of the Grotto, and visited the spring where millions of pilgrims have come seeking hope, healing, and renewal.
As one prayer at the spring reminds us: “Like them, we turn to you; accept our thirst for true happiness.”
🇪🇸 Our pilgrims now continue their journey back to Spain, where Barcelona awaits!
✨ One school. One community. One Catholic faith.
A beloved St. Anthony tradition, our annual year-end school Mass at the Basilica of St. Josaphat brings together students, families, and staff to celebrate another year.
Moments like these remind us that Catholic education is about more than academics—it’s about forming hearts and life-long connection.
