The Pride Parade kicks off at 11:00 AM on Polk Street and makes its way through downtown Monterey before ending at Custom House Plaza for the Celebration at 12:00 PM.

Enjoy local vendors, food, entertainment, and an incredible lineup of q***r performers at this family-friendly community event!

Today, Monterey Peninsula College and our local community celebrate the resilience, culture, and contributions of Black Americans. But true reflection requires looking at the deeper history.
On June 19, 1865, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation, Union troops finally arrived in Galveston, Texas, to enforce liberation.

Freedom work requires work and collaboration across generations, institutions, and modern workspaces.

As we celebrate this weekend, let’s commit to the work that remains. True inclusion isn't a ceremonial marker; it is a daily practice of driving real equity in our organizations.
