Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, uncles, grandfathers, friends, surrogates, fosters, and everyone else who takes on that mantle. Anyone can have a kid but it takes a special person to step up and be a father figure.

Today, we honor Juneteenth; a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and progress.

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom and equality are values worth protecting, teaching, and passing on to future generations. It is a time to reflect on our nation’s history, recognize the strength of those who came before us, and continue building communities rooted in respect, opportunity, and unity.

A giant thank you to Sargent Monk and Officer Parker of Nacogdoches Police Department for coming to talk to our youngest martial artists about the importance of knowing their safety information! They can recite their full names, parents’ names, address, and phone numbers in case of emergency!

Nine years ago, this started with a simple idea, a lot of passion, and about 10 students who believed in what we were building. Today, we’ve grown into something I couldn’t have fully imagined back then: one of the largest Martial Arts programs in East Texas and a true part of this community.

To everyone who has supported us along the way, past and present, thank you. Whether you trained with us for a day or made it through to Black Belt, you’ve played a role in shaping what this has become. We’ve been fortunate enough to earn awards and recognition over the years, but the real reward has always been the students and families.

I’m incredibly grateful that this journey allows me to do what I love every day while also providing for my family. That’s something I never take for granted.

What started small has turned into something truly special, and it’s all because of you. Thank you for trusting us, growing with us, and being part of this story.
