Today, we are sending a massive shoutout to one of the absolute best in the business—Michigan State University's very own Sparty!💚

We are still buzzing from Sparty’s epic visit to Southwest Florida back in February. Whether he was bringing the hype, snapping photos, or showing SWFL what Spartan spirit is all about, he proved exactly why he’s a national champion mascot.

Thank you, Sparty, for bringing the green and white energy down to the sunshine state! Come back and visit us anytime. 💪🌴

Dear President Guskiewicz,

On behalf of the Southwest Florida Spartans, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your incredible support and leadership during your tenure at Michigan State University.

We are especially thankful for the time you carved out of your busy schedule to connect with our local alumni base. Meeting with us in November 2025 before the tip-off of the Fort Myers Tip-Off Classic, and joining us again in February 2026 for the MSU vs. Purdue game watch, meant the world to our community. Your presence brought a tremendous amount of energy and excitement to our region.

Your willingness to champion our efforts has been a game-changer. By generating vital awareness for our newly formed regional club, you provided the visibility we needed to achieve a massive milestone: fully capitalizing our $50,000 SWFL Spartans Student Endowed Scholarship in less than seven months. This achievement directly aligns with the university's mission to expand access to higher education and advance opportunity.

Thank you for your dedication to the Spartan community, and for ensuring that alumni thousands of miles away from East Lansing feel connected to the university. We wish you and Amy the absolute best in your next chapter. You will always have a home—and a warm welcome—here in Southwest Florida.
